Release Information

The Znode 10.0.2.0 release includes certain enhancements and some minor bug fixes. 

What’s New

Tax Plugin Enhancements

  • The tax plugin architecture has been enhanced to introduce a more refined and efficient structure, now applied to both Sales Tax and AvaTax plugins.
  • Built-in Plugin Availability:
    • The AvaTax plugin is now available by default in the Installed Plugins section. There is no longer a requirement to install these plugins manually.
  • AvaTax Configuration Sets:
    • Configuration sets are now required only for AvaTax. These must be created via the plugin to link tax account credentials, ensuring tax calculations function correctly based on the configured account.
  • No Change for Sales Tax Configuration:
    • Sales Tax functionality continues to operate without the need for configuration sets.
  • Tax Creation and Association:
    • The process of creating taxes and associating them with stores or products remains consistent with the existing Znode behavior, maintaining backward compatibility and ease of use.

Enhanced URL Routing for User Password Resets and Admin Account Management

  • Account Activation:
    • When a user account is enabled, the appropriate URL will be sent in the activation email based on their role:

      • Customer accounts: Receive a "Webstore URL".
      • Admin accounts: Receive an "Admin URL".
      • Sales Rep accounts: Receive an "Admin URL".
      • B2B Administrator, Manager, or User accounts: Receive a "Webstore URL".
      • Admins with All/Multiple Stores: Receive an "Admin URL".
      • Admins with multiple roles (Admin + Commerce Portal): Priority given to the "Admin URL".
      • Commerce Portal role: Receives a "Commerce Portal URL" if associated with the account.

  • Password Reset:
    • Users requesting a password reset will receive a URL based on their role:

      • Customer role: Receives a "Webstore URL".
      • Admin role: Receives an "Admin URL".
      • Sales Rep role: Receives an "Admin URL".
      • B2B Administrator, Manager, or User roles: Receives a "Webstore URL".
      • Admins with All/Multiple Stores: Receive an "Admin URL".
      • Admins with multiple roles (Admin + Commerce Portal): Priority given to the "Admin URL".
      • Commerce Portal role: Receives a "Commerce Portal URL".
      • Users with both Commerce Portal and other roles: Priority given to "Commerce Portal URL".

    • Portal-Specific Requests: If the user initiates the password reset from a specific portal, the corresponding portal URL (Webstore, Admin, or Commerce Portal) will be sent in the email, based on the portal they used to initiate the reset.

Note: The #URL# macro in email templates will dynamically insert the appropriate login or reset password URL based on user roles and the portal used for the request.

Webstore Optimization

  • Enhancements have been made to optimize the Recently Viewed Products feature on the webstore. These improvements focus on streamlining performance and enhancing usability,

API Breaking Changes 

  • Module: Tax
      • All V1 APIs that previously used TaxRuleTypeId now reference PluginDetailsId instead.
  • In CPI API responses, property names remain unchanged, but the values now reflect the corresponding PluginDetailsId.

DB Breaking Changes 

NA.

Known Breaking Changes 

  • Z10-23194: In the OMS, line items for configurable products in old quotes were not updating when price or quantity changes were made, due to an incorrect "Out of stock" error.

Other Important Information 



Taxes - Functional Flow Changes due to New Architecture Implementation

  • With the enhancement, certain functional flows have undergone updates. Please refer to the configuration document and follow the outlined steps to ensure that tax configurations are correctly set up and work as desired upon receiving this update.

No Support for Vertex

  • The tax enhancement in this update removes support for Vertex but will be re-released in the near future. If Vertex is currently installed, it will be automatically uninstalled during the update process

Open Source Improvements 

[Z10-23320] - Resolved an issue on the Product Detail Page where the "Add to Cart" button was non-functional for items listed under Recently Viewed Products.

[Z10-23261] - Resolved a bug where users received a "Failed to save item" error when saving an item for "Save for Later," even though the item was saved successfully.

[Z10-22045] - Fixed an issue where clicking the "Read Reviews" hyperlink did not navigate users to the reviews section/page.

[Z10-21723] - Addressed a problem with bundle product quantities being displayed incorrectly in the cart.

[Z10-21517] - Corrected an issue where the in-hand date was not cleared properly in the quote process.

[Z10-21400] - Fixed a display issue where the cart appeared empty after a page refresh on the storefront.

[Z10-23374] - Resolved a critical issue preventing users from placing orders due to the cart appearing empty on multistore setups.

[Z10-23219] - Removed an unintended blue frame outline that appeared on "Track Order" and "Sign In" buttons after being clicked.

[Z10-23214] - Ensured the "Print" button text remains consistently visible in order history without needing to hover.

[Z10-21994] - Fixed a UI issue where an unnecessary "0" appeared beneath the shipping field in the quote receipt summary.

[Z10-21643] - Disabled the "Add to Cart" button for items that do not have a defined price.

[Z10-21588] - Resolved a bug causing a 400 Bad Request error when users searched for products containing special characters.

[Z10-21502] - Enabled ReCAPTCHA on the checkout page for desktop users to enhance security.

[Z10-21361] - Updated the Track Order Details interface to match the layout and design standards of the 9x UI version.

[Z10-20752] - Fixed an issue where an unneeded returnURL parameter was being appended to the login URL.

[Z10-20351] - Added the missing "No carts available in your Saved Cart" message to the Saved Cart popup when no carts are present.
