Managing Product Feeds

Navigate to: Dev Center > Product Feeds

A Product Feed, also known as a Data Feed, is an Excel, TXT, or XML file that contains Product information. The Product Feed is used by search engines, such as Google or Bing, to Index the website.

  • Store

  • File Name

To configure Google Product Feed, the following are the configurations are needed.

  • Store
  • Locale ID
  • Feed Title
  • Feed Link
  • Feed Description  

To configure Bing Product Feed, the following are the configurations are needed.

  • Store
  • Locale ID
  • Feed Title
  • Feed Link
  • Feed Description 

To configure the XML Product Feed that is supported in Shopping Feed, the following are the configurations are needed.

  • Store
  • Locale ID
  • Feed Title
  • Feed Link
  • Feed Description

Adding Product Feeds

DetailDescription
Locale IDCreate a Feed for the selected Locale from the drop-down list.
Type of XML Site MapAdministrators can select any type of XML site map from the dropdown.
  • XML Site Map
  • Google Product Feed
  • Bing Product Feed
  • XML Product Feed (Supported by ShoppingFeed)
Feed title Administrators need to add Titles in this field. This title shows in the Product Listing Ad (PLA) on Google’s/Bing result page.
Feed LinkAdministrators need to add the feed URL in this field. Clicking on this link on the Google or Bing search result page will take you to the direct product link.
Feed DescriptionAdministrators need to add a general description of this field. This field shows the specification and guidelines that describe what information is provided to Google and Bing.
XML Site Map TypeSpecify the type of field that needs to be generated - Categories, Products, or Content Pages, or for all data.
File NameSpecify the file name for generating the Product Feed.
StoreSelect the Store where the administrator wants to generate the Product Feed.

Saving Product Feeds

  • Update Product Feed Details
  • Save progress using the "Save" button. The page reloads with confirmation of the action.
  • The product feed is successfully saved.
  • The XML feed file is generated and saved on the server at the following path.

    Under the API folder: ~/data/Media/SiteMap/
