The following tax plugins are natively supported by Znode 10:
- Avatax
- Custom Developed Tax Plugin
Add a Tax Plugin
Navigate to: System Settings > Plugins > Available Plugins
The first step to adding an external tax processor is to install a tax plugin. Find the tax processor plugin that represents the tax option to be used in Znode and install the plugin.
Browse to the “Available Plugins” and filter by “Plugin Type” to locate the available tax module plugins. All available plugins will be listed in the grid. To filter the list to Znode native tax plugins, use the “Plugin Type” filter value of “Tax”.
If the desired tax plugin is already installed, continue on to adding a configuration for the installed tax plugin
Add a Tax Plugin Configuration
Navigate to: System Settings > Plugins > Installed Plugins
Once a tax plugin has been installed to the Znode system, it needs to be configured to process transactions. Select the tax plugin to be configured by clicking the Plugin Name link or selecting the gear icon under Action. Each plugin has a “Plugin Information” tab that describes the plugin that is installed; a “Global Configuration” tab that captures tax processor level configuration; and a “Configuration Sets” tab that captures tax processor account configuration information.

Global Configuration
The “Global Configuration” tab contains configurations that apply at the plugin level, to all Configuration Sets. The Global Configuration data to be configured varies depending on the plugin.
Configuration Sets
Each plugin also has a “Configuration Sets” tab. A configuration set is a collection of settings that define how an application behaves and operates. Essentially, each configuration is a variation of a plugin’s configurable settings. Unless otherwise noted, a plugin can have multiple configuration sets that can be applied to different entities in Znode.
For example, two configuration sets can be added for an AvaTax plugin with each assigned to a different webstore for processing tax.
The data to be configured for each configuration set varies depending on the plugin. However, each of the tax plugins will have the below common configuration set fields.

Configuration Code | A unique code that differentiates configuration sets. |
