Navigate to: System Settings > Shipping > “Edit” action on Custom Shipping Type > Associated Rules tab > "Add New" button
- Select a Shipping Rule Type from the drop-down list. Additional details will appear based on the Rule Type selected.
- Enter the required Shipping Rule Type Details and save progress using the "Save" button. The page will reload with an action confirmation.
- Use the "Add New" button and repeat Steps 1 - 2 for each shipping rule that needs to be associated with the Custom Shipping Method.
- The Shipping Rule(s) are now associated with the Shipping Method.
Shipping Rule Type
Note: A Shipping Rule Type can only be associated once per the Shipping Method.

| Fixed Rate Per Item | Shipping Rule Cost = Base Cost The shipping rule cost stays the same regardless of how many are ordered or how much the product weighs. |
| Flat Rate Per Item | Shipping Rule Cost = Base Cost + (Per Unit Cost * Quantity Ordered) The shipping rule cost increases as additional quantities are ordered. |
| Quantity-Based Rate | When the product order quantity is within the Lower Limit and Upper Limit values, Shipping Rule Cost = Base Cost + (Per Unit Cost * Quantity Ordered). When the product order quantity is outside the Lower Limit and Upper Limit values, the shipping rule does not apply, Shipping Rule Cost = 0. |
| Weight-Based Rate | When the (order line total) product weight is within the Lower Limit and Upper Limit values, Shipping Rule Cost = Base Cost + (Per Unit Cost * Quantity Ordered * Weight Per Product). When the (order line total) product weight is outside the Lower Limit and Upper Limit values, the shipping rule does not apply, so the Shipping Rule Cost = 0. |
Shipping Rule Type Details
Administrators will need to associate Shipping Rules before a Shipping Method is complete. Shipping Rule Details will appear after the "Shipping Rule Type" is selected.
- A Shipping Rule Type can only be associated once per the Shipping Method.
Weight-Based Rate
The following details will appear when the "Weight-Based Rate" is selected.
Set Pricing
| Base Cost | Flat cost for the product order line added to the overall shipping amount when the total weight of the order line is within the lower and upper limit values. |
| Per Unit Cost | Additional cost for each weight unit of the product on the order line added to the overall shipping amount when the total weight of the order line is within the lower and upper limit values. |
Limits For Tiered Pricing
| Lower Limit | Lower weight limit for the order line total weight. |
| Upper Limit | Upper weight limit for the order line total weight. |
Quantity-Based Rate
The following details will appear when the "Quantity-Based Rate" is selected.
