Configuring the Legacy ERP Connector

Navigate to: Dev Center > Commerce Connector > Legacy ERP Connector

Before we get started, to display the touchpoints of an ERP Package, Administrators need to set the Status to "Activate" on at least one ERP Connector located in the Business System Connector grid.

Unlike Znode 9, the Znode 10 ERP Connector has only the “MockERPConnector” available by default.

Note: Only one legacy ERP Connector can be active at a time in Znode.

General Details

Navigate to: Dev Center > ERP Connector Name Configuration

Once an ERP connector is enabled, a new menu item will appear under the Admin Dev Center menu - <ERP Connector Name> Configuration.

The <ERP Connector Name> Configuration has three tabs in the left-hand navigation.

  1. Log - a handy log to view the details of each communication for the touch point.
  2. Touch Point List - a list of out-of-box touch points to/from the ERP that can be set-up on a schedule or real-time.
  3. Settings - a section where the Administrator can manage the connection credentials to the configured ERP.

Managing the Scheduler for Touch Points

Navigate to: Dev Center > ERP Connector Name Configuration > Touch Point List

Administrators can create schedules by clicking on the edit action (i.e. pencil icon) from the Touch Point List.

The scheduler is used to run the touch points automatically. An administrator can define the scheduler to update the touch points one time or on a recurring basis.

When adding and editing scheduler details, the following details must be provided:

  1. Touch Point Name - The auto-generated name for the touch point.
  2. Scheduler Type - The type of schedule being created; defaults to Scheduled.
  3. Scheduler Name - The administrator can define a unique name for the Scheduler from this section. (Scheduler name can be added only while creating a scheduler. Once the scheduler is created the name is not editable).
  4. Scheduler Settings - The settings that determine when a touch point runs automatically. There are two options that drive the configuration fields that need completion.
    1. Scheduler Setting “One Time” - The purpose is to define a schedule that runs a touch point one time. When an administrator selects the “One Time” option, the following screen is displayed.

DetailDescription
Start DateThe first date the touch point should run.
TimeThe time (on the start date) the touch point should run.
EnabledEnable/disable the schedule. Checked indicates enabled; unchecked indicates disabled.

  1. Scheduler Setting “Recurring” - The purpose is to define a schedule that runs a touch point more than one time. The touch point may be scheduled to run multiple times a day or to run on specific days and months, etc. “Recurring” supports the ability to schedule a touch point on a schedule that is appropriate for the touch point and ERP. When an administrator selects the “Recurring” option, the following screen is displayed.

DetailDescription
Cron ExpressionA Cron Expression is a definition of the schedule on which a recurring touch point is run.  A user-friendly list of Cron expressions is available under Commonly Used Cron Expressions. Administrators can copy any Cron expression and add it into the Cron Expression field.
EnabledEnable/disable the schedule. Checked indicates enabled; unchecked indicates disabled.

  1. Once the scheduler is configured, the administrator can save the updates using the “Save” action. The page reloads with the updates and with an action confirmation.
