Viewing Reports

Overview

Znode Reporting provides native integration with Microsoft Power BI, allowing business users and administrators to view and analyse e-commerce data through interactive BI reports. Using the BI Reports section in the Admin Console, users can access preconfigured Znode reports powered by Power BI to track orders, revenue, customers, and operational trends.

This article explains how to access and view Power BI reports in Znode and understand the available dashboards and metrics.


Prerequisites

Before viewing Power BI reports, ensure the following: 


  • Access to the Znode Admin Console is available  
  • The assigned role includes permission to view Reporting and BI Reports  
  • Power BI integration is enabled and configured for the Znode environment  
  • A valid Power BI account is associated with the environment  


Power BI configuration and authentication are typically completed by an administrator. Business users are not required to configure data connections. 


Accessing Power BI Reports in Znode

Steps

  1. Sign in to the Znode Admin Console.
  2. From the top navigation menu, select Reporting.
  3. Select BI Reports.


Outcome

The Power BI Reports landing page is displayed, showing available report categories.


Viewing Znode Reports

Znode provides native reports designed for common ecommerce reporting and analysis.

Steps

  1. On the Power BI Reports page, locate the Znode Reports section.
  2. Select View Report.

Outcome

The Znode Reports dashboard opens within the Admin Console, displaying embedded Power BI visualisations.



Understanding the Znode Reports Dashboard

The Znode Reports dashboard provides a consolidated view of key ecommerce metrics and trends.

Key Metrics

Depending on configuration and data availability, the dashboard may display:

  • Total Orders – Number of orders placed
  • Revenue – Total sales value
  • Tax – Total tax amount applied to orders
  • Shipping Cost – Total shipping charges

Visualisations

The dashboard may include the following interactive visuals:

  • Revenue Trend – Displays revenue growth over time by month or year
  • Order Status Distribution – Shows order breakdown by status such as Submitted, Draft, Cancelled, or Expired
  • Revenue by State – Highlights geographic revenue distribution
  • Payment Mode – Displays payment method distribution used for orders

Selecting any data point updates related visuals dynamically.

Filtering and Analysing Report Data

Power BI reports embedded in Znode support interactive filtering to help narrow down data.

Steps

  1. Use available filters such as Order Date, Year, or other slicers displayed on the report.
  2. Select a value or date range to apply the filter.

Outcome

All dashboard metrics and charts update automatically based on the selected filters.



Tips and Limitations

  • Data visibility depends on role-based permissions in both Znode and Power BI
  • Report data reflects the most recent data refresh configured in Power BI
  • If no data appears, verify permissions and dataset refresh status
  • Some Power BI features may require additional Microsoft licensing
