Navigate to: Marketing > SEO Setup
SEO Setup allows Administrators to create default meta tag values that will appear on your Pages to increase SEO optimization. Default SEO Settings can be overridden Products, Categories, and Content Pages SEO tabs of this section.
Administrators can use Substitution Variables to generate default meta-tag text that will be substituted with the appropriate values at runtime when the page is displayed.
Ex: Shop now at mystore.com for <NAME> will have the Product, Category, or Content Page Name substituted into the meta tag when the appropriate PDP is displayed.
Any string of text can be concatenated with the Products, Categories, or Pages Substitution Variables which are then displayed as page SEO Title, SEO Description, and SEO Keyword.
Note - If an empty input is saved for default SEO Settings, the empty data will get reflected in the HTML code of the web store pages.
Substitution Variables
Detail | Description |
<NAME> | Substitutes the Product Name, Category Name, or Content Page Title. |
<PRODUCT_NUM> | Substitutes the Product Number (only for Product Pages). |
<SKU> | Substitutes the Product SKU (only for Product Pages). |
<BRAND> | Substitutes the Product Brand (only for Product Pages). |
Default SEO Settings
Navigate to: Marketing > SEO Setup > Default SEO Settings Level
If SEO settings are not defined for an individual Product, Category, or Content Page then data for SEO Title, SEO Description, and SEO Keyword is rendered from the Default SEO Settings.

Store Name | Default SEO Settings can be managed at the Store-level. Choose a different value from the select menu to manage the default setting for a different store. |
