Managing CMS Content Search Index

Navigate to: Marketing > Site search


When the "Enable CMS Based Search" setting in Stores is checked, the system automatically generates indexes as CMS pages and Blog/News pages are published. The system displays the index details in this section.

Administrators can also create indexes for CMS pages and Blogs and News pages from this section.

Regarding Stores, Admin users select a specific store from the Store Drop down to see the created index for that particular store.

If an Administrator wants to create/update an index manually for any particular store, the system creates a new or updates the existing index by clicking the “Create Index” button. The system creates the index for the production and preview environments.

Note: When Enable CMS-based search is true, the system displays two tabs on the search result page of the webstore: one for pages and another for products.


Creating Index

  1. Change the name of the index (optional and this will create a new CMS index for the store)
  2. Click on the “Create Index” button
