Manage Replacement Product Suggestions

Navigate to: PIM > Products > Edit Product > Replacement Product Suggestions Tab

The Product Suggestions tab enables administrators to add replacement products for obsolete items. The products added in this section will appear on the product details page of the respective item, provided its "Is Obsolete" attribute is set to "Yes".

Administrators can add replacement product suggestions by following the below steps:

  1. Click the “Assign Link Products” button.
  2. Select products from the list and click the “Save” button.
  3. Associated products now appear in the list.
  4. Click the “Save & Close” or “Save as Draft” or “Publish” button.

The replacement product suggestions will appear at the bottom of the product detail page.

Managing replacement for Obsolete Product

Administrators now have the option to retain products that are no longer available. Instead of removing them, Znode allows administrators to mark these products as obsolete and recommend alternative items.

On the front end, the product will be marked as obsolete, and will not be able to add it to their cart. However, they can view the suggested replacement products and navigate to the detail page of a recommended replacement for purchasing options.
