Navigate to: PIM > Products > Edit Product > Replacement Product Suggestions Tab
The replacement Product Suggestions tab allows administrators to add replacement products for an obsolete product. The products added in this section will be displayed on the product details page of the respective product whose value for Is Obsolete attribute is saved as Yes.
Administrators can add replacement product suggestions by following the below steps:
- Click the “Assign Link Products” button.
- Select products from the list and click the “Save” button.
- Associated products now appear in the list.
- Click the “Save & Close” or “Save as Draft” or “Publish” button.
The replacement product suggestions will appear at the bottom of the product detail page.
Managing replacement for Obsolete Product
An Administrator has a provision to keep those products that are no longer available. Instead of removing those products, Znode now allows an administrator to mark these items as obsolete and recommend different products.
On the front end, the user will see the product is obsolete. They will not be able to add it to their cart, but they can see the suggested replacements and navigate to a suggested replacement products detail page for purchasing options.
